The application period for Lied the Future 2026 closed on 10 December. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the duos who submitted their applications. The jury is currently reviewing the submissions, and the results will be announced on Monday, 9 February.

What is the Lied the Future programme?
Lied the Future is a European initiative that supports emerging talents specializing in art song. Its main goal is to promote the professional integration of young singers and pianists into the international concert circuit through a process that combines training, mentorship, and stage experience.
The Lied the Future programme includes:
- Participation in the Schubertíada Academy: Over four days, artists will receive mentorship and individual coaching from renowned mentors such as Wolfram Rieger, Olaf Bär, Christiane Karg, Matthias Goerne, and Christiane Iven.
- Lied the Future Artists Concert: Featured in the official programme of the Schubertíada Vilabertran 2026.
- Paid concert network: Opportunities to perform in a series of remunerated concerts across Europe.
- Complementary activities: Additional sessions and experiences to enrich the artistic journey.
