Baritone Jonas Müller, recipient of a 2023 Lied the Future scholarship, will make his debut at the prestigious Lucerne Festival on September 1, alongside pianist Anna Gebhardt, who was also a 2023 Lied the Future artist.
Pianist Carlos Bujosa, baritone Bruno Meichsner (Lied the Future 2026), and soprano Noëlle Drost (Lied the Future 2025) have been selected to participate this summer in the prestigious Britten Pears Young Artists Programme.
The Franz Schubert Association has selected five duos to take part in the 2026 edition of the Lied the Future program, an initiative dedicated to boosting emerging talent in the field of Lied. The selected duos come from Spain, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, and Italy: Katharina Bierweiler (Germany) and Jyri Mishukov (Finland); Alba Valdivieso and Carlos Bujosa (Spain); Bruno Meichsner (Germany) and George Needham (United Kingdom); Marta Esteban and Adrià Crespo (Spain); and Klara Brockhaus (Germany) and Rodolfo Focarelli (Italy).
Soprano Elionor Martínez, a 2023 Lied the Future scholarship recipient, has been one of the standout figures of the 63rd edition of the Tenor Viñas International Singing Contest.
